Jacob Barnes Climber
Jacob has a unique background and a love for excitement. He was raised in Mora and Sandstone, and pursued a degree in Bioanthropology before leaving graduate school to pursue sailing. He now uses his expertise in climbing to manage the grounds and forest of the Kanabec History Center. His favorite trees are white pine and cedar. He also enjoys the scent of orange and 2-stroke exhaust.
Tyler Thorn Apprentice
He grew up in northern Illinois in the outskirts of the Chicago suburbs. As a kid, he spent as much time outside as he could, building forts in the nearby woods. The highlight of his summers was his annual trip to northern Wisconsin where he stayed deep in the forest, tucked away on a lakeside resort. He went to college for Mechanical Engineering but soon found that it wasn't quite right for him. He followed his love for the outdoors and eventually stumbled into Arborist work. He has a deep appreciation for nature and a love for trees and plants in general.
